NYC 2019 International Gator Day! Saturday Volunteer Project

The Gotham Gator Club is proud to volunteer at The Youth Farm for International Gator Day 2019!

Gator Clubs® from around the world will unite to utilize the size and spirit of The Gator Nation® to positively impact local communities

on SATURDAY, MAY 18th , 2019 .

Each Club will take on a project that is important to their community and will volunteer the time and talents of it’s members to serve others.

The Gotham Gator Club will host two fun volunteer opportunities to serve our local NYC community.

NYC INTERNATIONAL GATOR DAY SATURDAY PROJECT

The Gotham Gator Club is excited to volunteer with Repair the World NYC and The Youth Farm in Brooklyn, New York !

The Gotham Gators will be engaging in hands-on work such as composting, clean up, weeding, planting and other tasks. We will also be learning about and discussing food justice topics such as food sovereignty, food access in Brooklyn, and the importance of community gardens.

The Youth Farm is an education-focused production farm that grows organic food and flowers on one acre for the community and beyond, and offers hands-on farm training and leadership opportunities for youth and adults.

DATE & TIME:Saturday, May 18th 10:00am – 1:00pm

LOCATION:The Youth Farm, 600 Kingston Avenue , Brooklyn, NY 11203

ATTIRE:Volunteers should wear ORANGE and BLUE weather appropriate clothes and comfortable shoes. Floridians beware no open toe shoes/sandels are permitted for safety reasons. *Intl Gator Day T-Shirts will be provided!*

VOLUNTEER INFO:You should not bring excessive personal items. Plan your route to Brooklyn in advance. Arrive promptly at 10:00am.

A limited number of volunteer spots are available. All ages welcome. Individual registration required. Your registration is a firm commitment.
